Enrichment-Makes my Heart happy!

Relief Society Enrichment
Our theme was 100 Dresses
(Our goal was to sew 100 dresses, our fantastic ward sisters
actually sewed 152 dresses!-so thrilling)
Our Enrichment night was to conclude our Humanitarian Project and celebrate the birthday of Relief Society-the greatest women's organization on earth!
Happy Birthday Relief Society

Each sister had a chance to read this book. Wonderful children's book of kindness, compassion and standing up for what is right.

We had a cake decorating 101 class the night before, and ladies in our ward decorated these cakes to be used as part of our centerpieces.

All of our 152 dresses lined the walls of the cultural hall, and we needed 4 rolling cork boards for extra space. Truly an amazing sight!

Centerpieces
Pictures are of girls in Africa in their old clothes, and then after receiving their new dresses. Their faces are beaming with excitement. Precious!
We had a few ladies rely stories of important dresses in their own lives.

I LOVE Relief Society, the people and the purpose!
I feel blessed to be a part of such an incredible organization.

Sewing with Grandma

Our ward has been working on a humanitarian project, sewing t-shirt dresses for girls in 3rd world countries. Since I don't have many sewing abilities, Grandma offered to help Brittany sew some dresses with her. Brittany loved sewing with Grandma, and serving. Here she is modeling a finished dress, along with Grandma and their many completed dresses.
Big thanks to Grandma, she herself sewed over 20 dresses. Fortunately she had sewn so many, she could do them in her sleep. I guess that happens when you are the mother-in-law of the project coordinator.
Love you Grandma!

Caroline had her first 'official' dance performance.
As you can imagine she was in her prime.
