Kindergarten--here She comes!

It's official--Paige is a preschool graduate! Only drawback is she has to wait all summer for kindergarten to start. She is ready to go now. Her program was darling, and we are so proud of her--she's pretty proud of herself too. Grandma, Grandpa, Nesha, Aunt Amber, Sydnee, Aubrey, and Gavin and her best friend Jayden all came to see her graduate. She felt very special. Big sister even got to miss school for the big event. Paige got to pick the place for lunch afterwards, which was of course a highlight. Way to go, Paige! You always make us smile. The graduate and her family
Ms. Emily, Paige and Mrs. Mari- she got a little teary when she said good-bye!

Welcome to the '50's'!

We had a ward 1950's Sock Hop at church, and we had a blast. My calling at church is Activities Chairperson, and I love it! I can always find a reason to throw a party. We had a bubble gum blowing contest, hula hoop contest, dance marathon, 50's guess who? (pictures of ward members in the 50's), guess how many 50's candies, and served root beer floats. It was SO much fun! Our family in the '1950's! Dad was such a good sport. The Fronz would have been proud. The girls said he looked like 'Elvis'.
Brittany in the Hula Hoop contest.

Caroline and Paige strolling with Mom.

Born to 'Hand Jive' Baby!

Brittany and friends in the dance marathon. Melina in the red won!
Brittany and The Bishop!
Paige and Caroline got dancing time with Bishop Taylor as well. We love our Bishop!

School Carnival

Every year the school's big fundraiser is the Carnival, and we couldn't have been more excited about it. We bought our wristbands and away we went---all night long!Caroline walked around showing her wristband to everyone, because she knew it got her on all the rides.
Don't help me, 'I do it myself.' The joys of an independent 2 year old.

Here she comes, not afraid of anything!
Hair painting--work in process.

Nice dye jobs, girls! Their scalps may be stained forever.
Does it get any cuter than this?

New Kids on the Block!

I am once again a giddy teenager! I hope you all were able to experience NKOTB for yourselves this morning on the Today Show. I got so excited, Brent took all the girls to school just so they could get out of the house unaffected. The last thing he wants is the girls to witness their mother in 'true teenage' fashion. It was certainly a sight to behold. Looking back on my reaction to "Right Stuff", I even scared myself. OH to be young again, the NKOTB era was so carefree and full of memories. It did make me feel better to see they all have aged as well, but they are still 'crush' material. The high notes weren't as high, puberty had to take it's affect somehow. Still one of my all time favorites! NKOTB is coming to SLC in November, and I couldn't be more excited. So ladies for old times sake, try singing "Hangin' Tough" without your legs moving, it can't be done! Jordan, Johnathan, Joey, Donnie and Danny, Welcome Back, we've missed you!

Dancing Divas

Brittany and Paige had their "High School Musical" themed Dance Recital on Friday night. Brittany was simply 'Fabulous' in the 'Best of both Worlds' and 'Little bitty pretty one'. Paige was very inviting in 'Be our Guest', lovely for 'LOVE', knows right where 'Alice' was going, and can shake it for the 'Macarena'. They were 'All in this together'. As you might imagine these songs were fantastic choices for our household soundtrack! They did great, very impressive moves on stage. I think their talent must come from their dad, he does a pretty mean 'chicken dance'. From the looks of their fan club, you can imagine all of the cat calls from the bunch. Caroline and Aubrey didn't understand that you were only suppossed to yell before or after the dance, they continued the WHOLE dance. Everyone's videos will have background noise!
The DIVAS, themselves!
Their fan club, Cousins and Friends! (Mom, Aunt Amber, Grandma, and Grandpa not pictured) We took up an entire row!

I BELIEVE there are Angels among us!

and on the night of May 8th, 2008, I am grateful that many angels were watching over and protecting my brother Justin. From the statements of the police officers, knowledge of the medical staff and the look of his car, Justin's being here is nothing less than a MIRACLE. I KNOW there are angels among us.

Piano Recital (First of many-we hope!)

Yankee Doodle has never sounded better. And she did it all from memory! We are so proud of her. We (Brent and I) try to tell her that one of our biggest regrets is not being able to play the piano, especially me since I was given the chance. But that stubborn side of me took over so, public apology to my mother---"You were right, I should have stuck with it." Sorry, Mom! We are hoping Brittany continues with it, her dad promised her a BIG piano if she would. I'm even thinking about taking lessons again, if that offer applies to me?

Silly Balloon

Preface to the story: In our family, we left our helium balloons go, to say "Hi" to our family and friends in Heaven.
Sunday as I was getting ready for church (Brent was out of town), I couldn't find Caroline. The front door was wide open and there she was, not understanding why her blew up balloon wasn't going in the sky. Never mind her outfit, or lack there of. And to make it even more risky', her underwear was on backwards, so her cheeks were fully exposed as well. Nice view for the neighbors on a Sunday morning.

Brock and Nesha's Wedding Day

What a wonderful day! Nesha and Brock are so happy, and we were so honored to be a part of their Big Day. After much planning, everything was beautiful and the couple was stunning! (It was a busy day, so I only got a few pictures at the reception.) Nesha and her flower girls. Brittany, Presleigh (step- sister), Ella (Brock's darling niece), The blushing Bride, Nesha Burrows:), Solee (niece), Paige and Caroline
All of their hard work in preparing for their flower girls duties really paid off, they were incredible and quite precious I must admit!

Caroline refers to Brock as "My Brock", and don't even try to convince her otherwise. Nesha doesn't seem to mind.

Dinner course #1-4- caramel, chocolate dipped pretzels--we MADE 800 of them, notice in the background. Talk about work, but worth it. YUM!

Dinner course #5-10- Cold Stone Ice Cream--she was in heaven and HIGH on sugar.

Paige REFUSED to leave the dance floor, so she pulled up a chair and fell asleep--for real! That's our girl!

9 years and 'Eternity' to go

Today is our anniversary! 9 years and still hard at it. It seems like only yesterday, but then I notice my grey hair and am reminded we have been at this for what seems like a lifetime. Brent refuses to take any credit for my grey hairs, he insists I have 'worried' them all there on my own. Happy Anniversary, Babe! I love you and am eternally grateful for you!
