Lotoja 2009

206 miles, 3 states, 1 day...6 years in a row and counting
(My butt hurts just thinking about it)
My Man!!!

The other crazies he rides with.
Brent and Tara are in shock, Steve is in agony.

Support Crew...both of us are glad it's over at this point.

People, they do this for FUN!
It's amazing to witness, but seriously they need to have their heads checked.

Brent and Brooke plus 8

Labor Day 2009...Scofield
Those kiddos' parents went to Dallas for the BYU game, and we got to babysit for the weekend!
(Jon and Kate don't scare us anymore)
We had a BLAST!!!
Boat rides
(we had to take turns because there were too many of us)
Swimming
the water was a toasty 67 degrees
FREEZING!!!
In clothes, no doubt
(Amber was NOT impressed with that part...
Oh well, remember Aunt Brooke and Uncle Brent were in charge)

Those smiles are frozen there

The Van Woerkom's and The Simpson's can
POUND some corn on the cob!!!

S'mores

The one and only fish caught all weekend.
Yep, by Gavin!
His dad would be so proud.

Sassy's on the Lake

Sun-bathing Beauties

All the little ones wanted to swim, so Aunt Brooke
jumped in clothes and all. Oh the things I do for my children...the water was
SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO COLD!!!
Everyone took a turn in the ICE bath, I mean water, except
Uncle Brent and Lauren...CHICKENS (or smart)!

To end our adventure, we got an escort (tow) back to the dock.
The boat ran out of gas on the water.
We were too busy FREEZING, oops swimming to notice...
Details?!?

A Labor Day to remember...

Amber and Mam-maw (my mom) still have a hard time discussing the details.

Again... Oh well!!!

Heaven just got more Beautiful

We know this is what Heaven will look like.
God needed help with the gardens, so He called Becky Home to assist in the work.
At times it is really hard to make sense of 'life'. At those times it is so comforting to know that God is in control, and this is ALL part of His divine plan.
Becky, our dear friend and neighbor
...gone for now, but NEVER forgotten.
